Snowmageddon 2014

The snow has really been crazy this week! On Monday we dismissed early and then had a two hour delay on Tuesday. The news warned us about a big storm coming and it was just a matter of time before it came! By Wednesday afternoon the storm had arrived! We ended up getting close to eight inches of snow! It's been nice being home with you boys these past two days. Tomorrow there is no school again but it is an optional teacher work day. My plan is to go in. Saturday is supposed to be a make up day but we shall see about that. Wednesday and tonight we went outside a little and you love walked in the snow. This has been a beautiful snow. We are thankful that daddy had a safe work day today and that the power only went off for about an hour today! 

The Big Game

The Super Bowl was today and we were all pulling for the Denver Broncos. We didn't plan it but you ended up wearing Seahawks colors. Guess that was a sign of who would be winning! You continue to have an infectious giggle and a sme that lights up the room!

First Time in the Snow

The weather forecast said the snow would be hitting south of us so you can imagine my surprise when I was about to head out the door I found out there was no school. The snowy weather came fast. Buses had already left school and were having to turn around and take kids back home. A bus in Fletcher actually flipped over! Daddy had to work today. After spending the day inside together, I decided to take you boys outside to play. This was your first time playing in the snow. We have had other snow days but there either wasn't much snow or the temperatures have been extreme! You were so excited to play outside in the fluffy snow. You and your brother are already looking forward to playing in it tomorrow! 

Hudson goes Vertical

These days you love to climb...on chairs, the couch and bed! The thing is you don't exhibit any fear. You do have quite a temper these days when you don't get your way. Last night you took off two parts of the dishwasher and while Pawpaw was fixing them you came over. When he told you "No!" And to go away from the dishwasher you got mad and swatted at him. It was all we could do not to crack up and let you see us laugh! 

Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree!

Yesterday the four of us went to Sandy Hollar Tree Farm to perfect tree! The weather was wonderful and we even ended up taking off our coats. We rode in the trailer and the tractor took us up the mountain. We walked through mud and patches of snow. Daddy picked out a beautiful eight foot tree. You loved sitting on the ground and walking around free! Later that night we decorated the tree with Mimi and Pawpaw. You and Dax were adorable in your pajamas. Tonight was another sweet brotherly love moment as you shared a Popsicle. You kept saying "Bite!"  I also have to say you've become quite the momma's boy and you cry if I let you go or if you want to be held! It warms my heart! Love you sweet boy!

Beautiful Fall Day With Mom

Today after your nap we went to the Arboretum. It was a beautiful day and we didn't even need our jackets! We walked around and looked at the cool Lego sculptures! !
