Easter Prep Fun

Today started out early but good. You woke up before seven. This week has been a rough week concerning your sleep schedule. Gammy said you didn't nap this week and at night you wouldn't go to sleep without crying and crying. A couple nights you woke up at two and refused to sleep in your bed. Daddy got us breakfast from Waffle House. Then we dyed eggs. You loved dunking the eggs in the dye. You also kept trying to eat the eggs! After nap time we went shopping and to see the Easter bunny. I thought you would scream and cry but you did great! You liked the bunny and after one shot we were done! I think the picture turned out cute! I can't wait to watch you hunt eggs tomorrow! As you get older we will teach you the greatest love story - We serve a risen savior - Jesus Christ!"

Where's Dax?

You love Dax! Today daddy took Dax to the doctor and it turns out he has strep throat. We were keeping you two separated so Dax was in our bedroom. You kept asking "Where's Dax?" Also, yesterday at Dax's birthday party you kept trying to be beside him while he opened presents. You bring so much laughter and joy to our lives.

What a BIG Day

Today we had a wonderful day as a family. Daddy was off and I took the day off because you and Dax had dentist appointments at 8 am. It was your FIRST time going to the dentist. You cried and got upset but overall did very well. Both of you had good reports and happily left with balloons. Then we went to Denny's for breakfast, took a nap and then went to the pediatrician's office for your 18 month check up. While we were waiting you would get upset when we wouldn't let you run free. There was a grumpy old lady in the waiting room with us that kept giving us bad looks, grumbling and saying "s!*t while holding her ear! We couldn't believe it! Besides that rude encounter it was a good visit. You are 26 pounds (70%), head 19 inches, big but not unusually big and 35 1/4 inches long (99%)! You also got two shots, one of which was finally a flu shot! After the doctor we went to the park and enjoyed the beautiful weather! The fun continued as we went to Blue Mountain pizza for dinner, Great Clips to get Dax a haircut, TCBY, and Shoe Carnival! Phew! It was a packed day, but a perfect day. We are thankful and happy that you are growing so healthy! We love you!

Snowmageddon 2014

The snow has really been crazy this week! On Monday we dismissed early and then had a two hour delay on Tuesday. The news warned us about a big storm coming and it was just a matter of time before it came! By Wednesday afternoon the storm had arrived! We ended up getting close to eight inches of snow! It's been nice being home with you boys these past two days. Tomorrow there is no school again but it is an optional teacher work day. My plan is to go in. Saturday is supposed to be a make up day but we shall see about that. Wednesday and tonight we went outside a little and you love walked in the snow. This has been a beautiful snow. We are thankful that daddy had a safe work day today and that the power only went off for about an hour today! 

The Big Game

The Super Bowl was today and we were all pulling for the Denver Broncos. We didn't plan it but you ended up wearing Seahawks colors. Guess that was a sign of who would be winning! You continue to have an infectious giggle and a sme that lights up the room!

First Time in the Snow

The weather forecast said the snow would be hitting south of us so you can imagine my surprise when I was about to head out the door I found out there was no school. The snowy weather came fast. Buses had already left school and were having to turn around and take kids back home. A bus in Fletcher actually flipped over! Daddy had to work today. After spending the day inside together, I decided to take you boys outside to play. This was your first time playing in the snow. We have had other snow days but there either wasn't much snow or the temperatures have been extreme! You were so excited to play outside in the fluffy snow. You and your brother are already looking forward to playing in it tomorrow! 

Hudson goes Vertical

These days you love to climb...on chairs, the couch and bed! The thing is you don't exhibit any fear. You do have quite a temper these days when you don't get your way. Last night you took off two parts of the dishwasher and while Pawpaw was fixing them you came over. When he told you "No!" And to go away from the dishwasher you got mad and swatted at him. It was all we could do not to crack up and let you see us laugh!
