Poor baby! Hudson has RSV

Big brother has been sing. We took him to the doctor and they told us he has a viral cough. He missed school on Thursday and Friday. On Sunday, January 27, you woke up with a cough. I could tell you weren't feeling well. We missed church and took you to the doctor. While waiting you were a happy boy and daddy and I were laughing saying they would think we're crazy. In the end we were grateful for getting you checked out because you tested positive for RSV! The was a rough one for you. We've given you Tylenol and breathing treatments. Last Monday night was a rough night! You had a restless/ sleepless night. Daddy spent the night with you downstairs holding you. You actually had doctor revisits a couple times during the week. During last Thursday's visit (Jan. 31) we went ahead and did your six month check up. You now weigh 17 lbs. 12 oz. Today was your first day back to Gammy's. We can't wait until you are 100%! You are growing so fast! I love kissing your neck and seeing you smile! You sure do make me smile! Love you sweet Hudson!

Bottoms Up Big Boy!!

Tonight we were all hanging out downstairs. You were laying on your play mat and daddy put your bottle beside you since you weren't very interested. The next we knew you had grabbed your bottle and were drinking it all on your own! We were so impressed! Big move at 24 weeks! We love you and watching you grow! Another sweet moment was last night. You were bouncing in your doorway jumper having a happy time. Before I knew it you were asleep!!! We took your hint and put you to bed!

A Late Christmas Get Together

Last night we ate dinner with Connie, Johnny and Ethan at Longhorn Steakhouse. It was nice spending time with them. They got to see how big Dax has gotten and what a wonderful, content baby you are. Johnny enjoyed holding you. The got you a stuffed pig as a present. Connie was a little worried about daddy's reaction to all the pink but he was fine. He said as long as you're not wearing it!

A Food First

A couple weeks ago you got to try rice cereal. You ate okay, but definitely liked it better the second time when it was thicker. You have had a big appetite lately! For example, you've been drinking 4 oz bottle but this evening I fed you 4 oz and then you were still fussy so I made you two more.... then two more!!! I was amazed at how much you ate! We bought you some food yesterday and after downing 8 oz, I knew tonight had to be your night to try food! I put you in the high chair and I was stunned by how big you looked! You are growing up before my very eyes! You scrunched your face at tasting the unfamiliar, but ate over half a container. You seemed to really like the bananas. Big brother Dax was excited to watch you take this big step and was right beside you! We are all looking forward to you trying even more foods! We love you and are very proud of you!

Your 1st Christmas Eve

We hosted Christmas Eve at our house and everyone came over: Mamaw, Lester, Grandma, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Bobby, Gracie, Dylan, and Moses. We ate snack foods and opened presents. Of course you weren't into opening presents that much so big brother was happy to help! You got some sleeps and fun toys! After everyone left we put you boys to bed and awaited Santa's visit! We are so blessed to have you as a part of our family! Last Christmas you were just a little bean in my belly! You are loved so much by so many!

Roll Over Baby!

Yay! You just rolled over from your tummy to your back! You also did it a second time so daddy could see you. You are still working on rolling from your back to tummy, but you are super close! We are still working on getting you in your crib. The first night you slept for about an hour before crying. Daddy has been sick and told me he needed his sleep so back to the couch and cradle we went. Last night we tried again with a little more luck. You did wake up and cry off and on but managed to sleep in your crib until 4am. You napped for three hours in there today! I'm hoping tonight will be a true success!! You're growing up too fast! We love you so much!!

Moving to Your Crib

The first couple of months were full of sleepless nights and I felt like a zombie. You slept in your bassinet/sling thing next to me on the couch. Daddy's work was crazy so he needed his sleep and couldn't really help at night. By month three you started sleeping good...just in time for me to go back to work! You would go to bed when did between 9-10 pm and wake up around 5am. I would feed you before going to work. You would then go back to sleep until daddy took you to Gammy's. Well, the time has come to move you to your crib because you are getting too big for the cradle sleeper. It stinks because you sleep so well. Dax has been sleeping in mommy and daddy's bed so it is a night for both our boys to sleep in their own beds. I put you down at 9:30. You keep waking up crying though. We did buy you a humidifier and pillow. I went in there and burped you, changed your diaper and several times rubbed your head. It's now 11:30, hopefully you are ready to sleep for the rest of the night! Hang in there baby! Momma loves you and you can do this!!! It is so tough not giving in because I hate to see you cry and because I would love a good nights sleep! No pain, no gain, huh?
