Your 1st Christmas Eve
We hosted Christmas Eve at our house and everyone came over: Mamaw, Lester, Grandma, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Bobby, Gracie, Dylan, and Moses. We ate snack foods and opened presents. Of course you weren't into opening presents that much so big brother was happy to help! You got some sleeps and fun toys! After everyone left we put you boys to bed and awaited Santa's visit! We are so blessed to have you as a part of our family! Last Christmas you were just a little bean in my belly! You are loved so much by so many!
Roll Over Baby!
Yay! You just rolled over from your tummy to your back! You also did it a second time so daddy could see you. You are still working on rolling from your back to tummy, but you are super close! We are still working on getting you in your crib. The first night you slept for about an hour before crying. Daddy has been sick and told me he needed his sleep so back to the couch and cradle we went. Last night we tried again with a little more luck. You did wake up and cry off and on but managed to sleep in your crib until 4am. You napped for three hours in there today! I'm hoping tonight will be a true success!! You're growing up too fast! We love you so much!!

Moving to Your Crib
The first couple of months were full of sleepless nights and I felt like a zombie. You slept in your bassinet/sling thing next to me on the couch. Daddy's work was crazy so he needed his sleep and couldn't really help at night. By month three you started sleeping good...just in time for me to go back to work! You would go to bed when did between 9-10 pm and wake up around 5am. I would feed you before going to work. You would then go back to sleep until daddy took you to Gammy's. Well, the time has come to move you to your crib because you are getting too big for the cradle sleeper. It stinks because you sleep so well. Dax has been sleeping in mommy and daddy's bed so it is a night for both our boys to sleep in their own beds. I put you down at 9:30. You keep waking up crying though. We did buy you a humidifier and pillow. I went in there and burped you, changed your diaper and several times rubbed your head. It's now 11:30, hopefully you are ready to sleep for the rest of the night! Hang in there baby! Momma loves you and you can do this!!! It is so tough not giving in because I hate to see you cry and because I would love a good nights sleep! No pain, no gain, huh?

Back to Work for Mommy
Yesterday was my first day back to work! You are staying with a lady we learned about through church. Her name is Sharon but she goes by Gammy. She will care for you and one other baby in her home. I hate that I have to return to work and that we no longer get to spend all day together! I did ok leaving because I was in a hurry trying to get everything together, out the door and be on time. When I got to school reality hit me and I cried. I'm thankful my first day back was a teacher work day! Today I was with my class and they're really sweet. You had two good days and you seem tone transitioning well! I'm grateful that you are taking a bottle without any trouble. After work I love being reunited with my boys! First I pick up Dax and then you! I am thankful for you, a good big brother, a helpful, loving daddy and a job! God is good--don't ever forget that!!

Boo in the Zoo!
Today we had a wonderful family day! The weather was beautiful on this fall Saturday! After daddy voted and we ate lunch, we drove to Greenville, SC to attend Boo in the Zoo. It is a non-scary, fun, trick or treating event at the zoo. Dax dressed up as Ironman and you wore a shirt that said "Mummy loves me!" You slept almost the entire time. We will probably go again when you are big enough to really enjoy all the fun and goodies!!

Two Month Check Up & Much More
Today was a very busy day! We started the day by going to Dax's school. It was picture day and You were able to join brother for a few pics. Then we grabbed some lunch and met daddy at his office to eat. After getting confused about the directions we finally made it to Sharon's house. She will be watching you when I return to work in a little less than two weeks! That makes me sad, but after today it looks like you will be in good hands with "Gammy." On a side note, we are trying to get you prepared for being away from mommy during the day. Saturday we left you with Aunt Jenny, Uncle Bobby and Mamaw. We are also transitioning you to a bottle and formula. After leaving Gammy's, our next stop was the doctor for your two month check-up. You weigh 13 lbs. 2 oz. are 24 inches long which are both in the 75%. When you were being weighed you peed everywhere! It's amazing to see how much you've grown! You are smiling more and starting to make more sounds. You are also showing lots of signs of being on the move soon!

First Time Away from Mommy
Last Night I had a meeting at church from 6-7pm. You stayed home with daddy and Dax. It was the first time we've been apart. Daddy tried to give you a bottle for the first time but you wouldn't have it! You cried and cried....poor baby...poor daddy! When I got home I noticed a strange car in the drive. We had some unexpected guests looking at our house. Despite the mess and no warning, we let them look inside. After they left we ate dinner and everything settled down. You and I were so happy to be reunited! I don't know how you and I will make it October 22 when I return to school!!! I love being with you all the time! You're such a sweet, cute sidekick!! Love you Hudson!

First Time at the NC Mtn. State Fair
This evening daddy and I took our boys to the fair. This was your very first time going. You slept the entire four hours we were there! Dax rode rides with Aubry since Tara and her family joined us there. We look forward to taking you each year and know you will love the rides as you get bigger!!

Welcome to the World Cutie!
Daddy, Dax and I are so happy to finally have you here! My c-section was scheduled for August 3, 2012 - your actual due date! After going to church on Wednesday night, August 1st, my water broke a little after midnight while I was sleeping! This was MUCH different than when my water broke with Dax. It was a big gush rather than a little trickle! Daddy and I quickly got out of bed and called the doctor. The doctor said to go to the hospital, but that we didn't have to rush. Dax was sleeping in our bed and continued to sleep through all the chaos going on in the house around him! Mamaw came to our house to stay with Dax while daddy and I drove to the hospital to welcome you to the world! At the hospital the nurse monitored my contractions, your heart rate and got me ready for an early morning c-section. Basically, the plan stayed the same, just a day early. Your Papaw, Uncle Wade, Pawpaw and Mimi all came up to the hospital early that morning. At 8:07am Hudson David Hall officially made us a family of four! You were 8lbs.7oz. and 20.5 inches long. We decided to name you Hudson from the very beginning, but couldn't figure out a middle name. We finally settled on David. Now you and Dax both have a part of your daddy's name! Daddy is very pleased. When you were born the doctor immediately commented on your long toes. Your cry brought tears to my eyes and my heart was overjoyed by the miracle of your birth. We all love your dark hair. When everyone sees you they quickly comment on how much hair you have. Daddy and I call you my "mini-me". You look just like me when I was born. Your big brother is super sweet to you. He loves to kiss you,is always calling you a cutie and is such a good helper with you. You are an absolute miracle and I thank God for blessing us with you!
